This woman’s work! Allison Schulnik is one of my favourite artists at this moment. You can meditate while you watch this. It’s truly magnificent and awe-inspiring.

This lady did the Grizzly Bear video for “Ready, Able” too. Mesmerizing.
I love it.

Dear diary

I have this strange experience sometimes. I think everyone goes through this in their own way. Sometimes when I am doing something or saying something or talking to somebody, it’s as if I’ve stepped out of myself and started watching the scene from the outside. I think this may be commonly referred to as “self-consciousness.” But it makes me see myself in a different light.
If I am having a conversation with a guy and he’s trying to make moves on me or something, this will happen. And what I see is an innocent, honest girl who doesn’t want trouble and is only trying to make her way. It’s as if I can see other people’s motives through their own eyes, too- and then I feel like someone is trying to take advantage of me. Of this little girl who is unaware and ignorant of these motives. A girl who gives everyone the benefit of the doubt and who is fiercely loyal to the people she cares about. But I see her dignity being taken away, sometimes. When people try to force their opinions on her or make her do something she may not want to, or doesn’t know she wants to. She can be so naive, trusting, and gullible.
I go outside myself and see this happening, and I am embarrassed and vulnerable. This is just something I thought I would write down as a note to myself.

I have so many questions. I mean, where does she live? Is this New York? Is she in a borough? Which borough? How amazing is that staircase full of hoarding shelves??? I want those shelves.

suicideblonde:

A dream come true!  A personal tour through Chloe Sevigny’s closets!  She’s so sweet and smart and funny, this video (and part 2 here) are so enjoyable.  Plus she shows this adorable picture of her backstage with Kate Mossat the Miu Miu show she walked at oh-so-long-ago.

Here’s a tip for the do-it-yourself crowd:
Go to your computer’s Start menu, and either go to
“run” or just search for “cmd.”
Open it up, and type in “ping [website address],”

Once you have the IP for a website, all you really
need to do is enter it like you would
a normal URL nd hit enter/press go. Typing in
 “208.85.240.231”
should bring you to the front page of AO3,
for example, just as typing “174.121.194.34/dashboard”
should bring you straight to your Tumblr dashboard.
Since we’re obviously bracing for the worst case scenario
which would involve you not being
able to access the internet regularly, you should,
 save this list.
Dear Tumblr-ers, -ites, ettes, and whatever other things you may prefer,
Please reblog the crap out of this. Add to it if you feel there is stuff necessary but missing.
P.S. Thank you to the lovely who wrote this up.

Intimacy, I think.

Is what I’ve been looking for. I am realizing that now, after the shitfest that was December.
Intimacy. Something that, to really, truly find, is rare and precious.
